It’s hard to go through life without a driver’s license. Doing so forces you to rely on friends or on public transportation, the latter of which can’t always take you where you need to go. If you want to succeed in this country, you’ll need to attend a driving school.
The first step is to sign up for driving instruction. You will need valid proof of identity in order to be accepted. Any kind of driving school needs to be licensed by the DMV; driving is a complicated thing, and the instructors have to meet certain legal qualifications if they are to teach others.
Once in, you will have several options as to where to go next. If you’re a first-time driver, you’ll have to take behind the wheel drivers’ ed. These give students valuable firsthand experience. Others might want to try our 15/5 driving course, which divides the student’s time between classroom instruction (15 hours) and behind the wheel training (5 hours).
If you’ve gotten pulled over for going too fast or parking in the wrong place, you may have to go in for court appointed traffic school. These sessions can actually be very helpful in refreshing your memory on things like defensive driving and traffic law. Taking behind the wheel driving classes can also offer insurance discounts.
The Professional Driving Academy is a great place to get the instruction that you need, whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced motorist. We also offer free pickup and drop off services to our driving lessons for students without transportation.
We'll be happy to answer any questions you have.
